Garden City Academy formed their P.T.A (parent/teacher association) in May 2010, from then it has gone from strength to strength.  It is run by a group of friendly and dedicated parent volunteers.  Our sole aim is to run events in order to help raise monies for the school to help towards cost or pay for various things.

Since we began in 2010 we have run many very successful events such as Summer fete’s, Christmas fayre’s, film nights, discos and small events such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift sales, competitions for the children, non-uniform days and textile recycling collections. We also help with school events, such as Christmas dinners, the year 6 leavers BBQ and disco. 

We are looking forward to running lots more exciting events and projects in the future, one being at the start of the Summer term we will be running the breakfast club that is available at the school for the children. 

With monies raised we have managed to send the whole school and its staff on a Christmas pantomime trip for the last two years, and helped towards cost of various equipment for the school, ie the climbing wall.  All of these events wouldn’t be a success without the generous help and support from our Head-teacher, school staff, teachers, parents and of course the children.  We all work together here at Garden City Academy as a team to make sure we raise as much money as we can, but more importantly for all of us and the children of Garden City Academy to have fun whilst doing so!
